The biennial showcase for British dance, British Dance Edition is being produced in London for the first time. It opens at Sadler’s Wells with an exciting triple bill and closes with a special preview of Russell Maliphant’s new work.

FAR, choreographed by Wayne McGregor is performed by ten extraordinary dancers from Wayne McGregor | Random Dance. This extract from the show will feature Ben Frost’s haunting score, Lucy Carter’s spectacular lighting design and rAndom International’s set.

Candoco Dance Company perform Set and Reset/Reset – a restaging project with Trisha Brown Dance Company. Using concepts from Brown’s playful choreography, Laurie Anderson’s score and designs inspired by Robert Rauschenberg’s originals, the company of disabled and non-disabled dancers have revived this contemporary classic and audience favourite.

The Art of Not Looking Back by Hofesh Shechter was made for the female dancers of his company. Physical, complex and unrelenting, Shechter’s favoured theme of ‘man against the world’ is presented in a thought provoking new light.
