Sadler’s Wells Breakin’ Convention

A group of spectators surround a hip hop dancer performing a trick
Sadler’s Wells Breakin’ Convention represents the origins and evolution of hip hop culture from around the world and around the corner.

Breakin’ Convention started life as a festival of hip hop dance theatre in 2004, founded by UK hip hop theatre pioneer Jonzi D. Over the years, it has evolved and expanded to play a major role as a core part of the Sadler’s Wells artistic programme.
