A ‘once upon a dream’ party
Birmingham Royal Ballet’s The Sleeping Beauty – 25 April 2024
In a soirée that’s sure to make dreams come true, Barclays Dance Pass holders enjoyed drinks and sweet treats, delighted in Birmingham Royal Ballet’s marvellous production of The Sleeping Beauty, and had the opportunity to enter a prize raffle to win free tickets for upcoming shows! Pass holders were also joined by special guests – Sadler’s Wells Artistic Director Sir Alistair Spalding and First Artist of Birmingham Royal Ballet Lucy Waine – who introduced the show as part of our Ballet with attitude season.

Celebrating 20,000 Barclays Dance Pass holders!
Matthew Bourne’s Romeo and Juliet – 2 August 2023
Barclays Dance Pass now has over 20,000 holders! And we celebrated by offering 1,000 x £10 tickets for Matthew Bourne’s Romeo and Juliet at Sadler’s Wells Theatre through August 2023. Matthew Bourne’s Romeo and Juliet marks the first co-production between New Adventures and Sadler’s Wells. A relationship that dates back nearly 30 years; New Adventures has been performing at Sadler’s Wells since 1993!
Through a special raffle, Dance Pass holder Glen Webb (pictured below) got the chance to go on stage before the performance on 2 August and get a glimpse behind the scenes. Glen has been a passholder since the beginning, and his recent stand-out show was the Scottish Ballet’s ‘Coppelia’. Alistair Spalding, Sadler’s Wells’ Artistic Director, credited Dance Pass with opening the doors to dance to a new audience at Sadler’s Wells.
The Rocky Horror Show party
On 9 May, over 200 Barclays Dance Pass holders joined us to celebrate the 50th anniversary of The Rocky Horror Show. Invited to take part in a Dress up contest, several guests took on the challenge and turned up in style, accessorised with feathers, fishnet tights and glitters. In addition, Sadler’s Wells Artistic Director Sir Alistair Spalding, announced the release of 500 tickets to Message In A Bottle, opening at Peacock Theatre in October. New Year Party!
Matthew Bourne’s Sleeping Beauty – 5 January 2023
Barclays Dance Pass holders enjoyed Matthew Bourne’s Sleeping Beauty at Sadler’s Wells Theatre and heard from New Adventure’s dancer Glenn Graham and Artistic Director of Sadler’s Wells Sir Alistair Spalding who gave his personal recommendations for upcoming shows at the post-show reception.
In exciting news – it was announced that there will be 1,000 x £10 tickets released for Matthew Bourne’s Romeo & Juliet taking the Sadler’s Wells Theatre stage in August 2023!
Summer party recap!
Manuel Liñan’s ¡VIVA! – 22 June 2022
With pre-show drinks and a special welcome by our Artistic Director Sir Alistair Spalding, Barclays Dance Pass holders got to see the fabulous flamenco drag performance of ¡VIVA! – with choreographer and multi award-winning flamenco dancer Manuel Liñan and his company. The show was a blast – and one of the highlights of the Flamenco Festival celebrating freedom.
We welcomed a special guest – UK choreographer and Dance Pass holder Anthony Matsena and his brother Kel, who recently presented work at Sadler’s Wells and and were the subject of a major TV documentary. After the show, the party really took off with the company joining for some serious dancing, hot tune from a live DJ, free Spanish food and more drinks!
