Artist Development Programme
Welcome to the new Artist Development Programme at Sadler’s Wells.
We aim to fuel the evolution of dance by providing artists with opportunities to experiment, exchange, and develop their practice.
In this first iteration, we are launching six distinct programmes all of which will be open or offered by open call to support the artistic community through non-outcome driven initiatives.
These programmes are designed to have a broad reach supporting a range of choreographic styles. We hope to meet artists that might not have previously thought Sadler’s Wells was a place for them and who represent dance in all its forms, regardless of pathway, training, or background. Some of these programmes are targeted in recognition of underserved areas of the dance ecology.
These initial strands are focused on holding space for development without the pressure of production-based outcomes. We want these programmes to be spaces where we can have a consistent dialogue with developing choreographers and dance makers.
