Company of Elders return with a stirring and resonant showcase

Since 1989, Company of Elders, Sadler’s Wells’ resident over-60s performance company, has been demonstrating the power of lifelong creativity and proving it is never too late to start dancing.

At this year’s Elixir Festival, they present a compelling double bill featuring works by John-William Watson and Charlotta Öfverholm.

Watson, a former Sadler’s Wells Young Associate, presents They Look Like People, created in collaboration with set and costume designer Joshua Cartmell, composer Adam Vincent Clarke and lighting designer Amelia Hawkes. Inside a doctor’s waiting room, observe as a group of strangers discover their reality is slowly unravelling by a patient who is uncannily not like the others…

Internationally renowned Swedish choreographer and dancer Charlotta Öfverholm returns to Elixir Festival with an evocative new work for the Company. Since starting her company Jus de la Vie in 1995, she has created over 30 productions which have toured worldwide. In 2015, she launched Age on Stage, championing mature artists for both stage and film.
