Five people are mid-jump against a plain background, wearing casual colorful clothing and displaying energetic body language.

A joyful, immersive dance show celebrating reggae and its radical history

Free embarks on a quest to challenge the confines of borders, flags and occupied lands, to discover joy in the darkest hour. Akeim Toussaint Buck combines the worlds of reggae dub culture and contemporary dance in a high energy immersive performance.

The dancers move to the drumming heartbeat of Nyabinghi rhythms, vibrating their bodies. Celebrating reggae’s global injection that has ignited revolutions since the 60s, the show features original music in the reggae dub style with hints of jazz influences, written and performed by Buck and The Magnificence. You’re invited to gather, skank and lively up yourself, until we’re all free.

We also provide a Visual Story so people can familiarise themselves with the theatre and key details about the show in advance.
Touch Tour Visually impaired patrons can go on a Touch Tour before the performance. Your tour guide will take you backstage, or onto the stage itself, to feel costumes and pieces of the set and learn more about the production.
